I looked up hot flashes in menopause and found out that the pituitary gland “confuses” the hypothalmus with the change in hormone secretion. The hypothalmus is responsible for maintaining homeostasis in the body: i.e. fever, body’s responses to cold and heat etc. So when it gets confused, you get the hot flashes. I am SO hot at night!
