I've been thinking about how to express this distinction I've been referring to between the epistemological. Level of James' position and the ontological. I think Descartes' is a good point of comparison here. We associate Descartes on the one hand with the cogito. I think therefore I am) and on the other with dualism. Ie is it not truth or a new type of truth?
