Encounters on the Street. Wednesday, 15 July 2015. Focused eyes, clearly fixated yet aimlessly wandering. Layers of grime so familiar, permanently altering skin tone. Blackened teeth upturned mouth, smiling easily. Tiny frame, skin and bones, torn clothing, hanging loosely. Limbs outstretched ready to hold, arm slung around shoulders. Words profound honest, rich with meaning tumble out of mouth. This is the walking wounded. Sit on the grass beside, stories will be told. Your heart may hurt as you hear.

Encounters on the Street. Wednesday, 5 August 2015. She danced with her Jesus. Illuminate our weekly art afternoon was finished,. The peaceful calm of the sanctuary drew me in. Wooden benches, stain glass windows, carvings in the wall, a simple cross. Carrying an essence of invitation to just be with God. My fingers played gently on the white ivories of the grand piano. I Marveled at the beautiful acoustics of the ancient picturesque surroundings. A dear friend draws near. She danced with her Jesus.

But sometimes I find it’s even easier to get wrapped up in pointless pastimes. Since the beginning of May I have been working at the Regional Park doing a variety of jobs. At first it was just park clean-up and maintenance, but then it transitioned into Park Entry as of May 16th. On another note, I have to start preparing for Moldova! Meet My New Guineapig, Dewy. So my friend took me to go pick up my new Guineapig who is infact called Dewy, he is an Agoiti and he is 1 years old. I researched the breed before picking him up and they apparently have a life span of 7 - 10 years old, so he's going to be my pal for a while!
