Monday, June 10, 2013. We hear so many funny things from the back seat as the girls chat the minutes away. Kevin and I try to keep our laughter silent even though our sides hurt and we're crying. Wednesday, January 7, 2015. The Most Wonderful Time of the Year- in Cali! Twas the night before Christmas Eve and all through the Linkous house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse (we hope! Because we loaded up the car and set out for California! We made it to Vegas around 3:30 am and crashed in beds lovingly made for us by Jody and Co. in their family room. THANK YOU, Jody! We woke up and had a traditional treat from Tom of egg mcmuffins for breakfast before finishing the drive to Temecula.

Thursday, October 30, 2014. We like to draw out birthdays at our house. Singing and blowing out candles at lease three times is pretty normal around here. Monday, August 11, 2014. Long post alert* *. Oh, how I love these people! And for 4.5 glorious days I got to laugh and cry and hike and curl and play games and talk and eat yummy food with them! This summer was the adults (plus sweet baby Tess :)-only reunion. We had everyone except Emily, serving away in South Korea. First item of business: delicious (goat cheese) pizza at an Italian pizzeria downtown, followed by Gourmandise pastries for dessert on Monday evening. The Portuguese-speakers plus Conlon :).

Tuesday, September 9, 2014. The power of moms. When I was a teenager, I learned at church one Sunday that mothers had the power and responsibly to bring the spirit into their home. My mom wasn't very excited when I brought up that little nugget of wisdom right in the middle of a moment when all of us were driving her crazy :). I think she cried in frustration, "and that's another thing! Why does everything depend on me? It I've been praying for help and inspiration and have found it in so many places:.
