Jesus Alvarez: Flag
http://jesusfalvarez.blogspot.com/2008/11/flag.html
Friday, November 14, 2008. The first thing i notice is the big contrast between the colors. The lights and the darks. The first thing i notice is the detail in the flag. The colors of the flag are of argentina's flag colors so it is somehow related to me because i am hispanic and it's culture is closely related to us. This is a photo of the argentina flag with the budweiser seal at the bottom. The story it tells is that budweiser is worldwide. The word i would use to describe it would be prideful.

Jesus Alvarez: Realism
http://jesusfalvarez.blogspot.com/2009/02/realism.html
Friday, February 13, 2009. A Basically realism has no hidden meaning. If you draw an apple it represents an apple and not Adam and Eve or Isaac Newton’s law. What you see is something that is recognized right away. Realism shows what it’s trying to mean. In other words, what you see is what it means and what it means is what you see. Jesus Alvarez: Beauty vs. Repulsion
http://jesusfalvarez.blogspot.com/2009/01/beauty-vs-repulsion.html
Sunday, January 18, 2009. Beauty vs. Repulsion. 1 http:/ blog.makezine.com/03.lego.art.jpg I believe that this is good art. The reason I think this is good art is because it was intended as art. It is also aesthetic. Another reason is that it makes a statement. 2 Honorific art-objects that deserve to be called art. 3 Classificatory art-objects that are considered art by other people thereby making it art. 5 Ed Nadeau, his drawings show the real inner beauty as opposed as the outer beauty.

Jesus Alvarez: March 2009
http://jesusfalvarez.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 6, 2009. 1 Expressionism is art made with feelings. It makes the viewer feel what the artist was feeling at the time of the making of the work of art. Cognitivisim is art that teaches you things about the world in a cognitive way. So the difference between these two would be that expressionism makes you feel something when you see it and cognitivisim makes you learn something when you see it. 4 Everything dealing with Bourgeois’ art is autobiographical. She demonstrates parts of h...

Jesus Alvarez: September 2008
http://jesusfalvarez.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 26, 2008. The first thing i notice is the contrast between the textures. What stands out the most is the aluminum things that are in the middle. It affects me that i pass through this doorway everyday. This is a photo of the corner of the doorway. It's the end of the carpet and the beginning of the tile. It has the textures of the carpet, the textures of the aluminum things and the texture of the tile. Friday, September 19, 2008. This is a picture of my roommate trying to stand on his h...

Jesus Alvarez: May 2009
http://jesusfalvarez.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 1, 2009. 1 Post modern art is not about the aesthetics or the representations of materials. It is just to evoke feelings, thoughts, emotions to the viewer and not necessarily to the artist. The boundaries that there was before are no longer there. 2 It challenges the aesthetics of art. It evokes different experiences on different people. It reflects people's lives and experiences and it doesn't really matter about the aesthetics of the model. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
