Kennel Club Good Citizen Award. Northumberland Canine Centre replaced the Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme in April 2016 with the COMPANION DOG. The training is designed to help owners to deal with everyday situations that they will meet with their dogs. Emphasis is on recall training, lead control and play amongst the many different exercises taught. Our indoor arena was purpose built and opened in May 2014. It comprises a full size Agility/Flyball arena and a smaller arena for less active disciplines! The artificial grass flooring has been carefully selected to be comfortable and clean. We also have a small kitchen and the kettle is always on! Training toys, treats, leads, collars etc are available at our little shop too! We also continue to stock a range of SKINNERS dog food. Find us on the map.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALTHOUGH WE ADVERTISE 7-WEEK BLOCKS OF TRAINING, THAT IS SO THAT SOME PUPPIES CAN MOVE UP TO MORE ADVANCED CLASSES. PUPPY CLASSES ARE ON-GOING AND YOU CAN JOIN AT ANY TIME DURING. Thursday at 1pm - 2.15pm and also 5.45pm - 7pm. Pound;10 per session. We can also tailor-make your training to suit both you and your puppy. Dogs tend to follow patterns of behaviour.but every owner is different! We are certainly finding a reduction in problem behaviour in those puppies undergoing early training.

The most common referral, which is perhaps the most worrying, is aggression. Most often caused by fear, we aim to prevent aggression problems developing through better education of owners, full socialisation of puppies and early monitoring of temperament. However, for problems which have been allowed to develop, we have a range of successful techniques to teach aggressive dogs how to alter their own behaviour with appropriate guidance from their owners.
