Fitty on the West Coast. A daily account of a misplaced Canadian working, living and training on the West coast. Thursday, February 8. Oh yeah, I've been tagged! What a great time for me to get tagged! I've been a little down since this injury and have been second guessing whether or not I can train for the half ironman and the STP (200 mile bike ride from Seattle to Portland) this year. Partly because training takes up a lot of time. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the women I train with! So much for an nice...

Fitty on the West Coast. A daily account of a misplaced Canadian working, living and training on the West coast. Tuesday, September 26. How sluggish newbies ruined the marathon? Wow I am a believer in freedom of speech but this article,. Who said that the marathon needs to be for serious runners looking to finish in 3:20 instead of just crossing the finish line? What is wrong with setting a goal of completing a 26.2 mile run, even if it's in 6 hours and you have to run/walk/limp/crawl to get there? This ...

Fitty on the West Coast. A daily account of a misplaced Canadian working, living and training on the West coast. Thursday, December 21. My version of backsliding. The magic number holidays time with friends and family = backsliding! Still, because it's so different from the way I eat when I'm on a normal schedule, I worry about the outcome. I am definitely paranoid. you know that feeling when you lose weight that at any moment it can all come back? I had to keep it slow to keep my heartrate in check, but...

http://boatenfamily.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
Reflecting on the fitness journey and other things. Monday, September 25, 2006. First off, thanks to javamom and wb5ker for the words of concern. I haven't even met you all and you are sending me such kind words. Thanks so much. So Sunday, I was determined to do as much as I could after church before it got dark. So I did 6 miles, but was feeling kinda nauseous. You shouldn't eat leftover Mongolian Beef and then go out for a run/walk. That is not good. Monday, September 25, 2006. The first lap was fine&#...

Just so you know, we have electricity again! Thanks so much for the warm thoughts. This storm did leave an aftermath. Several were hospitialized for carbon monoxide poisoning. :(. Also two died from carbon monoxide poisoning while trying to keep warm by using charcoal in a wok. This is so sad. Wednesday, December 06, 2006. Tuesday, December 05, 2006.
