About me - Jet Naftaniel
1950) was born in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. She studied graphics and painting at the Rietveld Academy Amsterdam, and majored in portrait painting. In 1986 she first applied herself to ceremonial textile/fibre art produced. Until 1990 she also illustrated children’s books, especially biblical stories. From 2003 she began to work creating jewellery from waste and rejectable items. She lives and works in Amstelveen where her studio is situated. In addition she is a recognized art teacher.
