I have worked as a freelance journalist for various magazines, journals and newspapers around the world. I have a Master's Degree in Journalism and currently work as the Editor of The Torres News, an independent tabloid newspaper in Australia's remote northern Torres Strait, just south of Papua New Guinea. In 2014 I received a Queensland Clarion Journalism Award for Indigenous Issues, beating the Australian Newspaper and the ABC. I have spoken at Literary Festivals in Australia, New Zealand and USA.
