Sunday, January 08, 2006. So it's 67 degress here, and it's not unusual for this kind of weather down here. The sky is clear blue, hardly any white clouds in the sky. Beautiful weather, way too beautiful for this time of year. The people here are extremely nice. Very caring. Very personal. They want to know everything about you and are willing to share everything with you. This is very hard to get used to, since it's rarely like that where I'm from. But I think it'll be ok. As soon as I walk past the baggage claim area and out the exit doors, I see hundreds, possibly even thousands of eagerly awaiting family or friends, anxiously trying to get a first peek at who's coming through the doors, hoping it would be someone they know. Friday, October 22, 2004. If co-worker A and co-worker B have eaten lunch together and can sometimes be found talking to each other throughout the day, is that grounds for gossip, especially if they are of opposite gender but in same age group? I had this conversation today with someone that if he and I were to show up to a co-worker's good-bye function together, or even within 5 minutes of each other, that would not be wise. My harness needed a good workout too. Had to settle for a lowly local joint - we found one route that was PURE stemming, which stated (quite blatantly) at the bottom that there was "no handholds". I love Seattle, the Van always holds a special place in my heart, and Whistler will always be THE place to be for riding the snow (powder or not).
