Evolution of an Athlete. Thursday, July 15, 2010. Off the northwestern coast of Africa is a tiny chain of volcanic islands. Ask most westerners, especially an American, and most will not have a clue where the Canary Islands sit. Tenerife. Is the largest of these massive volcanic monsters that dot the African coast. Evolution of an Athlete. Tuesday, December 7, 2010. Barry found his obviated full carbon beauty lifeless on the pavement as the team car pulled up to provide medical service and advance Barry to whatever remote Spanish hospital was within closest proximity. Just then something remarkable happened. Barry asked for a new bike off the team car to rejoin the. Which was already a few kilometers up the road. Against every shred of sanity Barry remounted a fresh. What if I'll say I'll never surrender. Made his ...

http://evolutionofanathlete.blogspot.com/2014/10/hill-climb-season.html
Evolution of an Athlete. Friday, October 3, 2014. At the start the weather was already chilly with reports of sub forty degree temperatures with wind and freezing fog at the summit. Thankfully I had packed a summit bag this year so freezing to death was not going to be a concern like last year. Standing at the start the time seemed to fly by as my start time approached. My only strategy was to crush and to ask questions later. Three, two, one. Time to gear up for some Cyclocross! I am hoping to get in to...

Tuesday, November 22, 2011. I planned to run the same times but to be quite honest I was pleasantly surprised at what I produced. I felt incredibly strong, however I did start to feel a little sick towards the end, probably due to having nothing in my stomach. I also completely seized up in the right quad during my cool down back to my car. Again, not eating and then hitting a hard workout was not smart but overall I felt I hammered a fantastic workout! Posted by Jim Lamoureux. Mon: am: 4 mile easy run.

Monday, December 7, 2009. Mill Cities Relay, week ending 12/6/09. I wasn't sure what to expect with 2hrs sleep, and my legs tend to cramp up after snowplowing. As the brick dropped for the start I started slowly and my legs felt supprisingly good. I began passing people and picked off 10 or 12 runners during the 5.65 mile leg and finished 8th in 32:45, 1:20 faster than last year. Our Coed masters team ended up 3rd in our division.good enough for a brick. Week of 11/30 - 12/6. Thur 10 from home 7:30/mi.
