Pilgrim Musings: March 2008

http://jgambini.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html

The destination of this pilgrimage is home. These are my musings along the way. observations, thoughts, concerns, frustrations and joys. My hope is, ultimately, to honor Jesus Christ, my Lord, and to be home with him. Thursday, March 20, 2008. Those Who Mock Jesus. Whenever Jesus prayed, it was always. For the sake of the desire of the Father to be fulfilled. And then I look at myself, again. Is my life lived in imitation of the life of Christ? Or is my life more a mockery of His? Overwhelmed by the grac...

Pilgrim Musings: The Goodness of God

http://jgambini.blogspot.com/2010/08/goodness-of-god.html

The destination of this pilgrimage is home. These are my musings along the way. observations, thoughts, concerns, frustrations and joys. My hope is, ultimately, to honor Jesus Christ, my Lord, and to be home with him. Thursday, August 19, 2010. The Goodness of God. How often do we come to God asking Him for something we know is obviously good but do so in a panic and with fear that God might withhold that good from us? Can we trust in the goodness of God so that we can yield our most cherished dreams, ou...

The destination of this pilgrimage is home. These are my musings along the way. observations, thoughts, concerns, frustrations and joys. My hope is, ultimately, to honor Jesus Christ, my Lord, and to be home with him. Monday, September 22, 2008. It's been quite a long time since I've posted anything, here. even though I have three or four posts started waiting to be finished. This one, however, is short enough to post now. After having read God's Will - My Will. At the Heart for God. A heart to follow Je...

Pilgrim Musings: August 2007

The destination of this pilgrimage is home. These are my musings along the way. observations, thoughts, concerns, frustrations and joys. My hope is, ultimately, to honor Jesus Christ, my Lord, and to be home with him. Thursday, August 16, 2007. The Assumption of Mary. However, I struggle with this part of Catholic dogma. Pope Pius XII wrote: Scripture portrays the loving Mother of God, almost before our very eyes, as most intimately united with her divine Son and always sharing in his destiny. That Mary ...

Pilgrim Musings: July 2009

http://jgambini.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html

The destination of this pilgrimage is home. These are my musings along the way. observations, thoughts, concerns, frustrations and joys. My hope is, ultimately, to honor Jesus Christ, my Lord, and to be home with him. Monday, July 13, 2009. Jesus said, “This is my body…” speaking of the bread he blessed and broke at his last supper with his closest disciples. He also said, “This is my blood…” speaking of the wine they would drink at that same meal. It really destroys us! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The View from Wood Road (and beyond): July 2007

http://theviewfromwoodroad.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html

The View from Wood Road (and beyond). Monday, July 02, 2007. The summer is flying by isn't it? Tonight I can hear the drums from the Lower Dauphin marching band, and today has been cool and clear, so I can almost imagine that fall will come again. It is one of those wistful, melancholy nights. In a good way. I have caught myself watching TV more lately, have been trying to decide whether or not to finally get a cell phone (vote on this in the comments! Actually NOT Pride and Prejudice. No longer at Wood ...

http://theviewfromwoodroad.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html

The View from Wood Road (and beyond). Wednesday, April 18, 2007. A bad bad blogger. I am, I know. I can attempt to justify myself by saying that I am one fantastic churchgoer, an dedicated bumper-to-bumper driver, a sometimes late night worker and I think, a good friend, but there is no excuse. Blogging is a priority too! I wanted to write earlier and tell everyone that they must, if they can still find it, go and see the. It is the story of Beatrix Potter, but it is about everything that a good story is...

http://theviewfromwoodroad.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html

The View from Wood Road (and beyond). Tuesday, July 08, 2008. But there are two specific spots at Kenbrook Bible Camp that the smells of summer always bring back to me. Woodsy smells bring me back to a little dirt path that wound it's way down the hill to a tiny lake. The other is a big grassy meadow where we went to play capture the flag and where they held the crucifixion scene of the passion play produced each week for a new group of campers. http://theviewfromwoodroad.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html

The View from Wood Road (and beyond). Saturday, October 27, 2007. Wednesday, October 24, 2007. It is a quiet weekend which is welcome. Last night Kelly and I made an amazing dinner of Kale and Eggplant, and all other vegetables that we could use up from our organic vegetable box from Spiral Path Farm. So related to that topic, and my masterful aesthetics, here are some more pictures for your enjoyment to usher in the fall on Wood Road. Enjoy your October. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The View from Wood Road (and beyond): Love pours out and over

http://theviewfromwoodroad.blogspot.com/2007/12/love-pours-out-and-over.html

The View from Wood Road (and beyond). Wednesday, December 05, 2007. Love pours out and over. I don't know where it comes from but it keeps flowing and spilling, swelling and washing. This is what love is doing to me. Well, Joanna, an interesting "start." What is this "love" of which you speak? Kind of a cryptic message, I think! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The View from Wood Road (and beyond): May 2007

http://theviewfromwoodroad.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html

The View from Wood Road (and beyond). Thursday, May 24, 2007. Pokey grass and palm trees. I write about mowing my lawn a lot, and I recently have had several interesting discussions about lawns, and their benefits, and their drawbacks. When did we decide that lawns are the way to go? Is this still left over from England where grass actually looks nice and stays green? They only bloom for about two weeks and then are done for the summer. Why is a yard so much more desirable without them then with them?

The View from Wood Road (and beyond): December 2007

http://theviewfromwoodroad.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html

The View from Wood Road (and beyond). Friday, December 28, 2007. And one more that is not quite as beautiful, but also very much part of my Christmas morning. I know my last post was cryptic. I don't really have a reason except that sometimes you feel big things rather than little ones. I have been pondering the good and the love that seems to flow beneath us and hold all things together. I just meant love. From God, family and friends. Wednesday, December 05, 2007. Love pours out and over.

The View from Wood Road (and beyond). Sunday, March 23, 2008. Savior, Teach us so to Rise! Note to Readers: This post was started last week on Easter evening. It needed some serious editing, though, so this Sunday morning, as I am passing time in the Cincinnati airport, soon to be home, was the perfect time to clean it up and get it posted.
