We spent Easter with the Meads since we flew out of Boston. This meant more cousins to play with. Jessie and Michelle filled nearly 200 plastic eggs for the kids to find! Jeremy and Eric hid all of them. The Meads have a great yard for an Easter egg hunt. 1-3 Alex and Amelia in their Easter clothes. 4 Alex finding eggs.

So far Alex is having a great time in school and is very excited to learn to read. I get to drop him off at school each morning. The first day of school Alex kept telling me that he knew what he was doing. We are looking forward to see his academic growth this year. I love how backpacks are half the size of kids. Once again this summer we loaded up the car and headed west for Girls Week. We put in long days until we got to western South Dakota. Just upon entering the Bad Lands we stopped to chase the prairie dogs. One of the highlights of the trip for Amelia. We also saw a mountain goats. The day to day reality of living with Alzheimers. January 30, 2017. Yes, two years really have passed since Marv crossed the final border. Today on FB Memories an article came up that I had shared back in 2013. It was a good read then and today. I was reminded particularly of how important the reassurance of love is in our relationships, not only in the case of dementia but especially so then. This paragraph is so accurate to my own experience that it still hits me. Two years, really? December 5, 2016.
