Friday, September 25, 2009. Mixed Bag of Goodies. Well today is just a big mixed bag of stuff, from a stethoscope to a designer handbad and jewelery - a little outside of my usual since I try to keep things to a theme, so you'll just have to pick through them one at a time today to find what you need. Here's another vintage pin that belonged to my mother - a butterfly design in silver plate with rhinestones and faux garnets. My daughter was lucky enough to pick up this Louis Vuitton black designer handba...

Tuesday, August 18, 2009. Focus on the Men - Free Stock Photos. Going for a little bit of a focus on things related to men, and things men like (usually, but this doesn't include women or significant others, which men also tend to like). Just a few today, probably more in future. Usually I have this sort of "object" photo on a white background. Today's is black for a little variety. You can still buy fountain pens, and ink cartridges used in them. Older models than the ones depicted didn't use the in...

Why We Do It. Why We Do It. Why We Do It. Why Do We Give Away Free Images? As the opportunities expand and the working photographers increase in numbers, the competition can be tough. That’s not such a bad thing – eventually some of us do retire, and the younger folks with new ideas and creative techniques take our places. Oh, I still work from time to time, but I’ve turned my attention to producing fine art prints, and other more “funner” things…. So why give them away for free? If you’re the sort...

Wednesday, February 17, 2010. A Trip Through the Interior. There’s a few new files in the food category, a new image in the birds. Section (cute little Hairy Woodpecker), a couple of new dogs in the pet section, and a couple of new landscapes as well. One of the new photos in the food section is this image of golden coloured pears and red apples in a cut glass bowl in a darkened kitchen. A little bit on the artsy side rather than pure stock, but it turned out rather well. Free pictures for bloggers.

Wednesday, September 2, 2009. Hey Guys.More Stuff for You! I put this stuff up there for the guys, but I have to admit.these are pretty much all my tools (except for the duct tape). I had to use mine because nobody can ever find my husband's.not even him. So while this stuff was posted for the handy-men out there, I really do know that women make use of these things almost as often as men. This is just the pry bar on it's own.in case anybody needed a photo of a pry bar. You can grab stuff with them, twis...

Sunday, March 20, 2011. Double Lizard Vintage Brooch. All we really know about this piece is that my friend inherited it from her sister-in-law when she passed away. The woman was a good bit older than my friend, and had traveled extensively to many places in the world. I've got a couple of other pieces researched from her - one was from Mexico and another from Peru (both bracelets). This lizard pin.I really don't know. It's an amazing piece though. Bee and Ladybug Pin. Orange Medallion Star Pin. Please ...

Sunday, September 13, 2009. A Trip to the Farm. A trip out to a friend's farm turned up this working barn photo - a red bar surrounded with the tools of farming - parts of wooden crates, an old lift for getting the hay up into the hay mow, and off the side a horse trailer, used for transporting the horses used on the farm. Another farm field passed on our travels through the surrounding countryside - this one is well-tended, and contains grazing cows off in the distance. It's background is a thick ro...
