金泉寺位於石山里三條厝宿舍區西側，金水公路的下方，由日僧鹽崎亮惠應日本礦業株式會社之託，於1937年建立，原名金瓜石寺，屬日本淨土真宗東本願寺大谷派，建寺的任務之一是照顧在金瓜石礦山工作死亡，客死異鄉的工人骨灰罈，這些骨灰罈存放在寺廟地下室，每年陽曆七月十五日的日本盂盆蘭會（相當於台灣的陰曆中元節）為這些往生者舉行超度法會。 在金瓜石礦山工作的異鄉人有許多來自浙江溫州的平陽、瑞安、玉環三縣，在1939年達到高峰，有兩千五百人左右，大多是隻身渡海來金瓜石，從事極度危險的坑內採礦工作，因事故死亡與病死者眾，由日本礦業火化，骨灰寄放金瓜石寺，目前尚有206個無主的骨灰罈，多屬溫州籍人士。 二戰結束之後，國民政府接收金瓜石礦山，也順理成章接管了金瓜石寺和位於該寺下方的火葬場，台灣金屬礦業公司前身的台灣金銅礦務局聘請同屬日本真宗的修正法師（俗名李查譜，台北縣人，1903年生）擔任住持並改名為金泉寺（金瓜石人稱之為和尚廟）。1960年代修正法師離開金瓜石後，由林天...標籤： 金瓜石寺 金泉寺 和尚廟 溫州. 標籤： 溫州 日本礦業 金瓜石. 訂閱： 文章 (Atom).

礦業是勞力密集的第一產業，太平洋戰爭之前，金瓜石之採礦作業雖已相當機械化，但仍需大量的勞力，從事危險的坑內、外工作。採礦是一種典型的三K（即日語發音kitsui 辛苦、kitanai 骯髒、kiken 危險）工作，又有罹患職業病矽肺的危險，願意從事這種工作的人並不多。 日本礦業為解決勞力不足的問題，從中國大陸山東、浙江、福建、廣東等沿海省份招募甚多的苦力前來金瓜石工作。當時，這些勞工在日本統治之下的台灣，是屬於外國人，或稱華僑，其性質如同今日在台的外籍勞工。 當年渡海來金瓜石工作的溫州人，戰後有一部份人回去浙江老家，也有一部份人留在金瓜石繼續在礦山工作，成家定居，其後代不乏事業成功，光耀門楣者。http:/ web.mac.com/william.chen.2005/. 標籤： 溫州 日本礦業 金瓜石. 訂閱： 張貼留言 (Atom).
