This morning, we said our farewells to Angela, our team member staying in Chaoyang to help the orphanage as part of her continuing studies with Azusa Pacific University. To Chaoyang, China We Go! July 1, 2011. Our team was invited to eat lunch at the orphanage with the director, the nannies, and a few of the kids. We had green beans, potatoes, chicken, and dumplings! After lunch the big kids (the kids who used to be at the orphanage and are now at the boarding school) came to hang out with us! We had a birthday party for all the children to celebrate their lives and to show them how much we care about them. We had watermelon, mango, banana and three really big cakes!

To Chaoyang, China We Go! June 29, 2011. Today has consisted of a whirl wind of events! We got to sleep in an hour late because a bus with some of the kids from the orphanage came to pick us up to go to the amusement park; it was so much fun to walk outside our hotel and see the kids on the bus!
