Thursday, June 25, 2009. My kids and I decided to come to Utah for 6 weeks this summer. We didn't want to put up with the 95 degree - 100% humidity in Bama this year! We traded it for rainy, cooler weather and have loved it! We have been having a blast so far with family and friends. Here are a few of the things we have been doing. One of the special things about our Sarah is her adventurous spirit and a willingness to try anything out. We signed her up for ski lessons through her school on Friday afternoons up at Sundance Resort. And this is her after a few lessons. Friday, January 9, 2009. The other week we went to the best zoo ever! It was more like a farm. Mike, the owner, has all of these animals on his property and has built cages for them that go on forever. Mike walks you around the zoo and gives you an up close tour of his zoo. I have never been so close to some of these animals before. It was amazing, as you will see. Here is Oakley making friends with a black bear! Mike had just built the coolest cage for this brown bear. I got back to Provo in mid-September for a mini-reunion with about 20 MBA buddies and the BYU vs. Texas football game. It was a great weekend and reminded me of how much we love Provo. Wednesday, May 27, 2009. In Memory of Jackson. When we were out in Utah for Jackson's funeral, his son, Jayden asked if we could all go to a Real soccer game. Ryan was put in charge of getting us all tickets and was able to get an awesome deal. We got 20 tickets and my ever so kind father got hit with the bill. He wouldn't have it any other way though!
