Sunday, July 15, 2007. This is where it all begins. I've loved live music since I was a pre-teen, being lucky enough to have a mom who was willing to drop off my sister and me in downtown Seattle for lengthy stretches of time to queue up for general admission gigs. We would walk over to Tower Records (open til midnight) right by the Space Needle, call her on the pay phone, and shop for records while we waited for her to pick us up. Now I'm a Southwest Airlines frequent flyer and Ding!

Saturday, July 28, 2007. One great thing about being a Bangles fan in So Cal is that they tend to play a good smattering of local shows. One bad thing about being a Bangles fan in general is the lack of new music they release; the most recent songs played at their shows come off the 2003 Doll Rev. As they ran off stage, pre-encore, breaking it to them that there would be no additional fanfare. that was unfortunate, as the crowd was ready for more by that point. Monday, July 23, 2007. Monday, July 23, 2007. The Reports Are Coming In. Apparently my ZZ Top fan club membership isn't going to help with tickets for the 8/18 show in Irvine - the date hasn't even been added to the band's tour dates. Yet My friend Bonnie and I tried to get seats during the radio station's presale but the best we pulled was the last row in the orchestra section. We ditched that pair, only to keep pulling loge or lawn seats. Who says Los Angeles (okay, Orange County) concert-goers are fickle?
