Saturday, March 28. This is a final drawing for a series I'm doing about movie genres. I had a lot of fun doing the first montage of super-heros, so I decided to do a few more. This piece is based on fairly recent period films (The Duchess, Marie Antoinette and the mini-series John Adams). Here's the final painting. I'm headed out to Colorado tomorrow to celebrate New Years in snow and mountains. I'm crossing my fingers for decent weather in Chicago as I wrap up some last gifts and pack up, and I'm counting down the hours until arrival at DEN. Happy New Years everyone! One day, I may dream in art again. But not right now. There are other dreams.

Thursday, July 26, 2012. The Olympics are Here! Even though I can't be in England to see the Olympics as I had originally planned, I am still very exciting about the upcoming games. Unfortunately not having cable is going to make seeing a number of the events pretty difficult, but I will at the very least get to see the opening ceremony tomorrow night at a friend's house. When I first took a tour of the Cleveland State campus on my HR orientation day nearly three years ago, I remember distinctly regretting not having a camera on me. The art deco style of Fenn Tower.
