Sunday, September 12, 2010. Well, I have been making fall decor for a couple of weeks now and I am still at it! I have put out all my fall stuff and I am ready! I have bookmarked it in my favorites and today I decided to try it. I made the black one first. I then made one for a dear friend of mine's daughter. She loves peace symbols so I cut out a peace symbol on my cricut. This was the first time to cut fabric with my cricut. Loved it! My friend Rhonda did it first so I had to try it!

Christmas comes and goes so quickly we dont always take the time to think about things that are important. Family is the most important thing in our lives. So many people take that for granted. I searched and searched for the perfect fabric to make a statement since the window is BIG. I really didnt want to pay 7.99 a yard for specialty fabric. So, when you cant find what you want, make it! What else is a girl to do! I was in Joanns and spotted that their felt was 2.99 a yard and it was the perfect width! It was meant to be! Love my new curtains! I put...

Friday, August 27, 2010. Burlap pumpkins with tutorial. I have "fall fever"! I am sooo ready for pumpkins, scarecrows, chili, and fall festivites! I started making my fall decor last weekend and once I got started, I couldn't stop myself! I think burlap is the perfect material for this craft and it comes in a variety of colors! I made most of them with burlap but then I moved on to other fabric to create a "bunch" of pumpkins! Ok so lets get started! This is my first tutorial so please be patient ;).

Imagine Dragons is my favorite band so I was excited to check out their latest Smoke and Mirrors tour when it stopped in Salt Lake. These guys are hometown favorites (Wayne is from American Fork) so it was a rocking show. Imagine Dragons and Muse are still the bands that put on the best shows ever. But I loved every second of the show.

We picked some of our plums (the ones we could reach). We stoned them and soaked them and then cracked all the stones to rescue the kernals. These we then peeled and skinned and added to the jam (this adds a lovely hint of almond flavour to the jam). We cooked the jam expertly and WOW! All home grown except the sugar.
