Hansell Notes in a Minor Key: Summer Days, Drifting Away
http://hansellnotes.blogspot.com/2015/07/summer-days-drifting-away.html
Hansell Notes in a Minor Key. Friday, July 24, 2015. Summer Days, Drifting Away. Loving the colors running rampant across the Kenai! Those fields of fireweed are glowing everywhere! Spires of purply pink reach for the sky on stalks as tall or taller than I am. Berries are bursting into existence and the birds are harvesting them like crazy. Still life shots are seen out of the corner of your eye, just waiting to be frozen in a time before winter. Even the non organic things shimmer in the July sunshine.
Hansell Notes in a Minor Key: August 2015
http://hansellnotes.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Hansell Notes in a Minor Key. Tuesday, August 25, 2015. I have seen a great many dragonflies on the lake this summer. I finally was able to photograph them as they fought, mated, and rested in the sun! I spent the afternoon floating on the lake under a stunning blue sky with HOT hot HOT sunshine! An odd colored dragonfly, you can't see, but it has some blue in it. This tree is so long! A few days later, dragonflies were landing on the kayak! They did a lot of fighting, so resting was a good thing! I was ...
Hansell Notes in a Minor Key: June 2015
http://hansellnotes.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Hansell Notes in a Minor Key. Thursday, June 25, 2015. Just some random stuff. When the eagles or other birds of prey show up, the ducks hide in the lily pads. There really ARE ducks out there! The road is having some work done on it for some reason. The giant grader had a passenger. I particularly liked how it says CAT under the dog. My very favorite truck on our road. I asked the driver if I could take photos of his truck and he agreed. Old Ford belly dump! Wednesday, June 24, 2015. We spent the aftern...
Hansell Notes in a Minor Key: February 2015
http://hansellnotes.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Hansell Notes in a Minor Key. Sunday, February 15, 2015. It's Valentine's Day and that means candy, camo, and being in the outdoors. The mountain ranch looks really different with the grass all flat. You can easily see for miles and miles across the rolling hills. We arrived at the lower place and discovered the sign down. Probably from the wind. At the lower place, near the bus, there is a crick where the rocks for the fire pit were. It was lovely to see water in it! The other thing I learned is to make...
Hansell Notes in a Minor Key: January 2015
http://hansellnotes.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Hansell Notes in a Minor Key. Saturday, January 31, 2015. Burgers and fries for dessert! I had an idea a while back. I wanted to make Jon a hamburger birthday cake for his 21st birthday. Something memorable. I looked up different versions of it and jumped in with both feet and the mixer running. My first thought was to make the bun out of angel cake. That didn't turn out as well as I hoped, but it all worked out as I purchased raspberries making the angel cake MY birthday cake! It did taste good and ther...
Hansell Notes in a Minor Key: July 2015

Hansell Notes in a Minor Key. Sunday, July 26, 2015. Little" ducky, I'd like a whole pond of. Ernie didn't have a goshawk in his bathtub, but am sure this bird of prey would sing this song if he could! Mum has had these hawks visit last year and this year is no exception. The ducks, although segregated, hang together when the webbed feet hit the muck. Here they are squawking about the hawk holding one of their own. Later in the evening, the hawk came back, but the ducks retreated to the lily pads. I ...

Hansell Notes in a Minor Key: Choosing Pictures to share!
http://hansellnotes.blogspot.com/2015/07/choosing-pictures-to-share.html
Hansell Notes in a Minor Key. Tuesday, July 14, 2015. Choosing Pictures to share! When you send to your kids to the store in North Kenai, they go in style! It was an absolutely stunning day on Saturday, July 11. The beach was so warm people were even able to sprawl out on the rocks! Fisher folk were checking their nets and, although there weren't many fish, we did get to see them bring in a few. Baseball was great fun, even if the Oilers did lose. It wasn't by much! I like this photo below. It shows ...
Hansell Notes in a Minor Key: October 2014
http://hansellnotes.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Hansell Notes in a Minor Key. Thursday, October 16, 2014. I have to agree with Anne, October is a beautiful month! There are so many colors and shades and textures outside! I had to take a head shot of Stryker! This, however, was the most surprising thing. I watched a squirrel run to the poplar and was taking photos of the trunk (this poplar is a very odd kind of tree-it has never been trimmed and is several all stuck together). As I was shooting the trunk I saw something else. Can you see it? The story ...

Oh what a Joy!
Oh what a Joy! Welcome to our journey, to the story of us: Jim, Stacy, and Little Audrey. Sunday, December 24, 2017. What a whirlwind 2017 was. Every year seems to get shorter. Every year, we add some gray hair to our heads and my kid gets taller. This year, as I look back, wasnt really as fast as it seems. This is my 4th year at Early Childhood Center at Country and Town Baptist. My group of kiddos this year are absolutely wonderful. I enjoy them so much. Jim continues at Equipment Depot in his 13th year.

It's our so called blog
It's our so called blog. The adventures of Jim, Stacy, Finnegan, Korrigan and MacKeegan Thomas. Friday, March 23. Well, Jim hates running on a tredmill, so while he agreed it made sense for me, he felt like he'd never use it so we kept putting it off. And, it is impossible to shop for one online. You don't know what you're really getting (did you know that not tredmills are made for RUNNING? Finally, he just said that I'd be the one using it, so just to buy one. Okay, he didn't have to tell me twice.
