Photography, musings, recipes and tea. Still on the Canadian kick. Tuesday, 29 April 2014. When the day-to-day grind of life persists. Eating these tangy, savoury yet sweet crunchy chips has given me a few moments where I would distinctly remember driving down the Trans-Canadian highway, passing by shorn and frosted mountains, evergreens dusted with snow and snow flurries swirling in the wake of our tire tracks. Oh Canada, eh! Wednesday, 16 April 2014. Been there, done that! I just realised that I didn&#...

Photography, musings, recipes and tea. Wednesday, 17 December 2014. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Up until recently did the weather decide to emulate winter here. It’s finally chilly during the daytime and we no longer crack the windows in the apartment! No longer wearing shorts and a tank top – I am wearing socks, tights and a zipped hooded sweatshirt. You have no idea how much I love this! Hope everyone is having a lovely holiday season! It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Creat...

Photography, musings, recipes and tea. Monday, 1 September 2014. Summer spoils; Pt. 1: July, July. I know, I know. It’s been about two months since my last post – many apologies! For about half of July, we’ve been on the road, seeing family and out camping – for the remaining half of the month, we’d been vastly occupied packing up our apartment and experienced the throes of moving! My husband and I had a short layover in Seattle before meeting up with my family. Luckily it overlapped with Il Corvo. If th...

Photography, musings, recipes and tea. Monthly Archives: June 2014. Cucumber Basil Icecream (egg-less! Thursday, 26 June 2014. I subscribe to the TastingTable. A restaurant and bar located in the Echo Park neighbourhood of Los Angeles) – I’ve never been, and likely never will since it’s going to close its doors in a couple of days. Such is the life of restaurants – lively yet short-lived and fleeting at times. Cucumber. Ice Cream. Cucumbers definitely have a distinct flavour. Creamy cucumber icecream?

Photography, musings, recipes and tea. Wednesday, 14 May 2014. If you didn’t know – I love pears. They are one of my most favourite fruits. They are often associated with a late summer through late winter harvest (though primarily autumnal). As it turns out, the Abate Fetel is also referred to as Abbé Fetel – named in honor of the French abbot who cultivated this variety in 1866! Next post →. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
