post growth sloth: September 2009

http://www.jimfielder.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html

Musings from the post consumption hinterland. Friday, 25 September 2009. What do I want to get out of this module and what do I find interesting about sustainable consumption? This is all fine and dandy but for all this to happen it does rely on one tiny piece of dominant economic logic: Growth. So it'll be mass unemployment, poverty, spiralling debt and economic collapse. Hmmm. I feel sorry for governments. They are caught between a rock and a hard place. The "growth dilemma". So I am interested in sust...

JIM FIEDLER PHOTOGRAPHY - About Me

I love black and white. As I get older the simplicity of black and white becomes more appealing. Perhaps it was all those hours in Photoshop trying to get the colors on my prints to match the colors on the screen. So with B&W I only have to deal with a million shades of gray, white and black. Of course I cannot ignore color, it is just right for some things. Which do you like better? Let me know at.

Tuesday, 28 June 2011. Heres how I feel sat at my desk drawing the 12th design of a character for a commercial. Terrible posture and sadly an empty cup. Back to the Wacom. Yawn. Thursday, 2 June 2011. Just finished artworking this piece from a sketch I'd done in the streets of Florence, an accordion busker counting his earnings - I missed him playing unfortunately. Here's the sketch and the final artwork, I've flipped him in the final artwork as I preferred him facing right. Monday, 13 December 2010.

Jim fields' Weblog | If I can put one touch of a rosy sunset into the life of any man or woman I shall feel that I have worked with God. Henry David Thoreau

Jim fields' Weblog. If I can put one touch of a rosy sunset into the life of any man or woman I shall feel that I have worked with God. Henry David Thoreau. March 18, 2018. In my reading this morning I was reminded by the prophet Jeremiah:. This is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. (Jeremiah 31-33 NLT). If we want to be honest and ...
