Monday, August 4, 2008. July 28, 2008. We have left Poughkeepsie and headed to Hop-o-nose Marina to have the mast unstepped. We have arrived about 12:00 and have gotten to work getting everything ready for tomorrow morning to have Shawn remove the masts. Once we got close to Morehead city in Beaufort, we had a barge been towed by the tug boat and they pretty much took over the entire width of the channel so it was abit tricky getting around it but we did. We are starying in Morehead City Yacht Basin for 2 nights and hope to see Beaufort which is across the river tomorrow. Passing the shoreline on our starboard side. Shoaling outside of the channel. Monday, August 4, 2008. July 26, 2008. We have had a great view of New York City. If the day was not so hot we would have stopped and visited but it is about 93 today with no wind. Jim sitting with Alastair in the cockpit. Barge and tugboat behind us. Floating barge prison tied up to the shore. Some of the current going through Hell Gate. Upper West side of Manhattan.
