I walked the paths through Kashima shrine and the surrounding forest. It was really nice. There is definitely and atmosphere around that place that is very soothing. I will definitely go there again. I also enjoyed an ayu (sweetfish) at one of the tea shops. Also, heard an old man playing a Japanese flute which really added to the mood. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Lots of earthquakes recently. Some epicenters close and today there was one off the coast that was magnitude 8.5. In all cases, we felt only around shindo 4.
