Gretchen Hancock's Paintings: White Cup Stack and Five Cherries
https://gretchenhancock.blogspot.com/2015/06/white-cup-stack-and-five-cherries.html
Sunday, June 7, 2015. White Cup Stack and Five Cherries. Sweet dark cherries are in the store now and I have to paint them while they are in season. I really enjoy their shiny surfaces. The color of the reflection in the cherries is actually rather dark; a mix of the local color of the cherry (dark red), the additional darkness from the shadow, and a bit cool white from the tabletop. Labels: 6 x 6 oil on panel. June 8, 2015 at 4:11 AM. June 8, 2015 at 6:43 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Gretchen Hancock's Paintings: The Burn and Fireweed
https://gretchenhancock.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-burn-and-fireweed.html
Saturday, August 8, 2015. The Burn and Fireweed. A familiar site in the interior in Alaska. An area burned by fire, but showing new growth with pink blossoms of fireweed. I like the pink patches and the dark area of spruce trunks in the distance. This one will be in a show in Anchorage at the ArtiqueLtd Gallery in September. Labels: 8 x 10 oil on panel. Beautiful companion to Hillside Fireweed! Weve had a few fires here in Oregon and see similar landscapes. Love how you interpret them!

Not-So-Serious Still Life: Dunkin'
http://lambcathy.blogspot.com/2010/02/dunkin.html
Oil Paintings by Cathy Lamb. Thursday, February 11, 2010. Donuts appeared on my radar a few years ago when a Krispy Kreme came to my town. They are simply beautiful. That smooth-as-glass surface begged to be painted, yet eluded me. But not for lack of trying. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Sammamish, WA, United States. I love to paint the everyday stuff. Oil Paintings by Cathy Lamb. Wednesday, May 12, 2010. Delightful. Postscript: Aldarra Farms is now a beautiful housing development, but without a single lamb. Sigh. Not-So-Serious Still Life: Donuts & Milk
http://lambcathy.blogspot.com/2010/01/donuts-milk.html
Oil Paintings by Cathy Lamb. Tuesday, January 26, 2010. At the time I painted this, I was taking classes from a young accomplished painter, Tenaya Sims. http:/ www.georgetownatelier.com/instructor.html. His training is very classical, which I love. So with his voice in my head, I painted and this came out. Some paintings just come together. This was one of them. Like my brushes had fairy dust on them. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Not-So-Serious Still Life: A little more bragging.....
http://lambcathy.blogspot.com/2010/05/little-more-bragging.html
Oil Paintings by Cathy Lamb. Wednesday, May 12, 2010. A little more bragging. As if the book isn't enough, here's the brand new issue of Southwest Art Magazine, May 2010. It has a nice long article about Jim Lamb with quite a few samples of his paintings. It is a great honor to have work featured on the cover, so I am definitely proud. Check it out at any bookstore until the end of May. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Sammamish, WA, United States. View my complete profile. A little more bragging.

Not-So-Serious Still Life: Just a little bragging.......
http://lambcathy.blogspot.com/2010/05/bragging-if-i-may.html
Oil Paintings by Cathy Lamb. Wednesday, May 12, 2010. Just a little bragging. Just a little bragging. Jim Lamb, my husband, has a new book. It's a collaboration with a life long friend who is a writer. Jim's paintings are paired with Tom Martin's poetry impressions of the California landscape. We lived in California for years, and loved the beauty that is so distinctive, from the beaches to wine country and more. The book is lovely and affordable and I highly recommend it! Not-So-Serious Still Life: Cheese Tower 9x12" Oil on Canvas
http://lambcathy.blogspot.com/2010/01/cheese-tower-9x12-oil-on-canvas.html
Oil Paintings by Cathy Lamb. Monday, January 11, 2010. Cheese Tower 9x12" Oil on Canvas. I don't have a website right now. I had a very lovely one designed by a talented friend. However, I was not successful at self-maintenance, and I let it get out of date. Extremely out of date. So this is my attempt to at least leave a vapor trail in cyberspace. At least until I get. Good and resolved to stay in real time. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Sammamish, WA, United States. View my complete profile.
