Sunday, August 30, 2015. My Grandma Shirley died this week. We attended her funeral. She died at age 91 years old. She had Alzheimers towards the end. I loved playing Skip-bo with her, seeing her Precious Moments she collected, and seeing the puzzles they worked on. I felt so loved by her and loved her cheery personality and demeanor. My Grandpa is 97 years old and still alive. He is now a widower for the 3rd time. My Grandpa Max is a great example to me. I have a great heritage I look up too. The side s...

Saturday, August 8, 2015. The kids sure enjoyed the adventure of going to Storm Mountain in Big Cottonwood Canyon. What made it even better was going with family. Being with Grandpa and Grandma were fun to be around. Uncle Joseph shared the story of how he lost part of his heal in a motorcycle accident. Roasting hot dogs over a fire was so fun for the kids. We took a short hike up the mountain. We found a cool rock monument that reminded us of the book, Charlie's Monument. Posted by Happy Days.

Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Jaden was so excited about the things he built with the Lincoln Logs. He asked me to take a picture of each time he built something so he could show Dad. He's such a cute boy and so creative. Noah participated in the Court of Honor. He earned five merit badges at scout camp that he was awarded. We also got to watch how 4 flags were retired. Noah helped fold one of the flags and put it on to burn. We have never seen a flag burning ceremony before. Posted by Happy Days.

Friday, August 7, 2015. Fun with My Sister. We spend the day visiting with my sister, Linda, and her family. We went to the museum of natural curiosity and enjoyed spending time with cousins. Even though we've been to the museum many times, it's always fun to go with new people. We got to bed around midnight, but being with family is fun and it's hard to go to bed when you're having fun. Wednesday, August 5, 2015. Destressed but a little Overwhelmed. I took a selfie of myself as I lay here in bed pondering on life. I've been on some anti-anxiety medication for about 6 months now, and today the doctor said I was well enough that if I wanted to get off it I could. I don't like to feel dependent on any medicine and I'm glad that I feel so happy and well adjusted with life right now. But I know with the help of the Lord, I can do all things. Monday, August 3, 2015. It's that wonderful time of year where I have to sort through the kids clothes to see what they need for the new school year. I'm really surprised that they have as many clothes as they do. We thankfully won't have to buy too much this year. Sunday, August 9, 2015. We've had lots of spiders around our house lately, but this one is by far the biggest one we've seen. Going to church is so awesome! It's great to learn more about Jesus and how to be like Him. We had a wonderful family home evening lesson prepared by James. Hiram was so kind and shared his treats with everyone.
