Providing etched sheet metal and cast parts for the craftsman model maker to assemble into a finished model at their home workbench using a reasonably comprehensive toolkit of hand tools and soldered assembly. Some months ago I bought a kit for an N4/N5 class. After much pondering I decided I wanted to build it as an N4 (GCR class 9A) with a round top boiler. Have I got the ability? David Howes has informed me that the Quainton Road Models kit for the 6 wheel 3rd class coach (D.2B8) is now available. It costs £90 plus £4-50 p&p. Even in pre-grouping days, no one cleaned goods wagons - certainly not externally. A recommended kit, suitable for GC, LNER or early BR periods.
