My House Renovation – HDB. August 9, 2015. November 1, 2016. In the beginning…. 1 Choose a contractor/Interior designer (ID). I am not going to say too much about the pros and cons about having an interior designer or not – to each their own. But suffice to say that one more person means one more mouth to feed. And for a simple 111 sqm house with a living room, a kitchen and 3 rooms, there is only so much one needs to do:. False ceiling/cove lightings – Yes/No. Feature wall – Yes/No. Let there be light.

But I didn’t know this, and took a long route via Peter Pan bus, which required a transit in Fall River of 1.5hr. Nevertheless, I ultimately arrived at downtown Providence. I camped at a Starbucks for about an hour before heading to my Airbnb on Federal Hill (about 15mins walk). My first attraction in Providence is the Rhode Island State House. Old Stone Bank....

Newport, RI, USA. September 23, 2016. September 25, 2016. After a wonderful conference in Woods Hole, I decided to take a short trip to Newport, Rhode Island. It would have been an agonizing 4.5hrs bus journey with 2 transits, if I had started my journey from Woods Hole, MA. Luckily, a friend drove, and he dropped me off in Boston, which made the whole trip more palatable. Long Wharf, on the way to Bowen’s Wharf. Beginning of Bowen’s Wharf.
