My favorite people (especially in ministry) are those who have no conception of who they are. I love people who have achieved success and notoriety but none of it has gone to their head. I know he is Tommy Barnett, most everyone in ministry knows he’s Tommy Barnett, but Pastor Barnett has no conception of who he is, only of Jesus. I am jarred by his humility every time I’m with him.
