Fished Berrow beach today. Got there early to dig some fresh bait, some good worm down there at the moment. I was hoping for a bass but had x4 flounder. Enjoyable short trip. May 30, 2015. Shore caught personal bests. Say hello or ask a question. Slow day on the shingle except from a relentless wave of mackerel on the feathers. I kept around 15 of the biggest ones, most were carefully flicked off the hooks and returned. The star of the day was this red gurnard. Fully armoured head, legs for walking, croaking sounds, large fins and bright colouration, these fish have character that trump any of it’s sea mates. Aug 01, 2015. Checkpoint, Chesil beach.
