The Broken and The Holy. I am a simple man. Archive August, 2016. Yesterday I got a case. I did not go to the hospital. I waited it out. Hoping the wave of sickness. I decided to try sleeping. But was only able to. Stare across the bedroom. And send a few prayers. About 1 am, still awake. Knowing I was not going. I got up to. Catch up on email messages. Before an hour has passed. I felt almost normal. And returned to bed. I fell asleep for. When I got up. And drank enough coffee. To check my emails.

Looking back I was insecure. Not sure if I was the kind of guy. Worthy of being your friend. Or anyone’s friend. A boy offered me cookies during class. It seemed like yesterday. But it was in the first grade. And I was happy he wanted. To be nice to me. I was shy and always have been shy. I have never been certain.

With some side effects…. And for 2-3 days after coming off the pump…. He is weak… no energy… and has gotten dry heaves… twice…. During this he never actually stops…. I try to talk him into taking it easy. But, it is not in his nature…. 8220;I have things to do! Maybe this is the secret. That makes him keep going.

The traditional Kentucky Derby Drink… “Mint Julep”. 2 ounces Early Times Kentucky Whisky. 1 tbsp simple syrup. Sugar and water at a 1:1 ratio and heated until combined). A few mint leaves in the bottom of your mint julep cup, then fill with crushed ice. Add one tablespoon of simple syrup and two ounces Early Times Kentucky whiskey.

I was so tired…. But, I had Peppered Bacon/Tomato/Lettuce. Sandwich on my mind! I found some maple peppered bacon. Which sounded even better…. At the fruit stand I bought a couple of “homegrown”.
