Consumerism, A global dialect. Friday, February 4, 2011. Allan Kaprow's Happenings and todays' Reinvention. I definitely agree- he seemed very focused on creating art that couldnt stay the same, which is quite different from the the traditional historical view of art (i.e. one enduring image that will last forever)! I think he was aiming to redefine how art functions in society, as well as what art is.a question no one seems to have successfully found an answer for yet, unfortunately. Boom sports. Bam.

ICA, London, 1974), p.48. Ahh, but this! Connecting Beuy's work to my own.hmmm slightly mor...

Friday, March 4, 2011. Rhyme on sawada, lee and boehm. So I have already talked extensively (numerous times! Sorry dudes) about Tomoko Sawada and Nikki S. Lee. Though I don't think I will continue to follow their work- not Lee's at least, I'm still trying to decide how I feel about Sawada- they were wonderful women to look at for inspiration and connections for my final project. I was surprised how easily it was to relate my (admittedly) self-centered project to other people's work! Subscribe to: Post Co...
