Life's an adventure…. June 29, 2010. And the thing to hit me when I get out of the plane was. Wtf so damn hot…. And it was at night. *faints*. But other than the initial wave of humidity which struck me, it was pretty much good to be back in a place you’ve grown up in. Pretty much so. You feel back again, somehow. I do miss SoCal’s weather though. And the thought of what to do and where to go on weekends in SG, struck me again. Damn Cannot stream via ESPN or Univision! Packing is a pain in the ass. Addre...

Life's an adventure…. June 22, 2014. In Outta the red dot. View of Everest from Tibet side. After doing the overland from Chengdu to Kathmandu via Tibet over the past few entries, there are some things which we learnt which might help anyone interested in making similar plans to visit Tibet. It is, a wonderful place, and I would urge that you visit it soon before the culture is gone (well, I believe it has been eroded since the 1959 Cultural Revolution…). Circuits might be cheaper than overland tours....

Life's an adventure…. The road to Shigatse. July 26, 2014. In Outta the red dot. Tibet Trip, Day 8 (18 Jun). Today is the long road trip to the west of Tibet, covering 360 km in total. It took us about 2.5 hours to cross the 4700m Khampala pass (this gravel road was built in 2007) to see Yamdrok Lake, a freshwater turquoise coloured lake which is one of the 3 holy lakes in Tibet. From our vantage point we could see the 7191m Mt Nojin Kangsang amongst the other 6,000m snowcapped mountains around it. Mt No...

Life's an adventure…. July 26, 2014. In Outta the red dot. Tibet Trip, Day 3 (13 Jun). And I’ve reached Lhasa, Tibet, where my Tibetian overland trip starts. After clearing the “alien immigration” station, I met up with Tenzin, my guide for the first 2 days before the rest of the party arrives. He was a gruff-looking guy (looked like the Nepalese I’ve seen), and was rather small sized with muscular-looking build. On top of that, the railway station and the bridge were newly constructed. Tenzin was te...

Life's an adventure…. Ed Sheeran, Singapore! October 28, 2014. And today marked the day where Ed Sheeran’s one-day only concert is sold on Sistic. Well, something like Stubhub is for the UK. And boy, was the traffic heavy when the online sales began at 10am. I had actually forgotten that 10am was the start of sales, so I could consider myself rather lucky to be in the (online) queue at 10.20am, despite being on a 3G/4G connection, and actually stick it through till it was my turn to purchase! Life's an adventure…. To the Roof of the World! July 26, 2014. In Outta the red dot. Day 9 and 10 of my Tibet trip. A 2 day trip summarised into one post. First we has breakfast at 6.30am and headed out of Shigatse at 7 to head further West. Our journey was on both paved and unpaved roads, so it was quite bumpy for us since we were on a normal tourist vehicle (non 4WD). The guide also told us that the roads get repaired after winter as some parts are damaged during the winter months. As time flies….

Life's an adventure…. The fool’s on you! April 1, 2010. In Just for Laughs. It was the day to make a fool of others, and since USA’s about 15 hours behind SG time, I decided to do it earlier! What a joke it turned out. 61 comments, multiple ‘likes’, and even friends who MSNed me to ask if it was real. And I played along. lol. What a fun day. Someone with lack of FB signal was laughing the pants off. Literally (I think? PS I do not think I’m super. 8230;so this will obviously be NOT. You are commenting us...

Life's an adventure…. April 25, 2012. Ahh… The look of innocence. Its been a good 4 days, and today’s the last day of the funeral. With today, all my grandparents are gone. But I do cherish the memories of each and every one of them, even though probably not all impacted me in my life and how I am now. I definitely believe they are in a,better place now then they ever were. Especially to yisi, who had actually been to like 3 of my grandparents’ wake… Thanks for being ard, buddy. Makes me wanna go Japan.
