Thursday, March 27, 2014. My Christmas present from Nathan finally arrived this week. All I wanted was for the nasty tile/carpet in the upstairs bathroom to disappear. I have despised this floor since the day I moved in. Last Thursday this is what our bathroom looked like. I would have normally been ecstatic, however this nearly nine-month prego, nesting mama started to question the decision. Luckily the baby kept on a bakin' and now we have beautiful basket-weave marble tile and I absolutely love it!

Monday, June 30, 2014. Wheat Free/Sugar Free/Fructose Friendly Granola Bars. I tried to find a recipe on-line but didn't have a lot of time to search so I modified this Healthy 5-Ingredient Granola Bars Recipe I found on the Minimalist Baker's webpage. I'm sure it's really good the way they have it but I can't have dried fruit and dates are a main ingredient in their recipe. Here is my version:. 1/2 cup pure maple syrup (you could use honey if you don't have fructose issues). 1/2 cup natural peanut butter.

Saturday, March 22, 2014. First Zoo Trip of 2014. Yesterday after we signed Alexa up for kindergarten (I still can't believe it), we took the kids to the Omaha zoo for the first time this year.
