February 7, 2007 · Filed under Lab. Percent Change in Weight in Varied Sucrose Concentrations. The attached graph shows the percent change in weight for varied sucrose concentrations. The water potential of the potato tissue was calculated to be -0.89 MPa. The pressure required force the water back to the cut surface was at least-4 MPa (unable to obtain a reading). 1 Response so far ». February 7, 2007 @ 3:29 pm. Are you sure that was the water potential and not the sucrose concentration?

Archive for March, 2007. March 25, 2007 · Filed under Lab. On April 8, we prepared regular MS media, and media with auxin and cytokinin. April 9 we planted seeds on the plates and prepared tDNA samples from our SALK mutants for PCR. We plan on running our gel with the PCR products from April 17 on April 24 (one month before my birthday! And from the data we’ve been obtaining, I would not be surprised to find out that the SALK 127603 mutant seeds do not contain the TDNA insert. Comments (1) ».

March 25, 2007 · Filed under Lab. The plot for the data obtained on chlorophyll absorbance using a 3:8 dilution with 90% acetone is:. The Beer-Lambert Law Plot was done using Absorbance readings at 660 nm and the following dilutions: 0.0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, and 1.0:. C chla = (0.0127 x 0.472) – (0.00269 x 0.300) = 0.00519 mg/mL. C chlb = (0.0229 x 0.300) – (0.00468 x 0.472) = 0.00466 mg/mL. C chla b = (0.0202 x 0.30) (0.00802 x 0.472) = 0.00985 mg/mL. C chla b in leaf = 1.09 mg/g. Enter your comment here.
