AVSI foundation, an international not-for-profit organisation has been working in Northern Uganda since 1984, providing health care, education, socio-economic and development services even during some of the hardest times, even in the war. By 1998, there was an over-whelming need to respond to the big numbers of people who had become disabled due to land mine injuries resulting from the protracted war because majority could not afford treatment and support to re-build their lives.

Thoughts in my head. August 15, 2010. Anticipation, uncertainty, and desire. How will I feel. Where will I run to first. All of these things unanswered which makes the anticipation that much more powerful. The scariest thought is the fact that I will know the answer to this in no time. Uncertainty, Am I ready for this?
