January 29, 2011 at 10:45 pm ( Writing Prompts. This prompt calls for a list of cliches, easy enough. I was surprisingly good at coming up with a few. The next step, making a poem from a cliche, took more effort. Cliches by nature are uninspiring. So, using one intrinsically kind of left me deflated. I suppose it is a necessary exercise to work with ideas when nothing comes. Don’t wait for inspiration, make it happen! And smell like the club. My hands icy,. Knots in my belly,.
