The Hart of Life: April 2014
http://thehartoflife.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
The Hart of Life. Wednesday, April 2, 2014. Happy 1st Birthday Hannah. Hannah turned 1 on March 9th and is quickly seeming more and more like a toddler and less and less like a baby. I may have even shed a tear (or at least got choked up) on her birthday. how did this happen so fast? She was a pretty easy baby and instantly earned a special place in our hearts and in our family. She is no longer the mellow baby she was for so long. now she's on the move and into everything! And now for a little birthday ...

Friday, December 24, 2010. Africa Day 8- "Child Sponsorship" (Ghana). Children are such a blessing from God! I would love to have children of my own someday. But my husband and I have been married three years now and still haven’t been able to start a family. We trust that God will bless us in His timing. But today….He put someone special into our lives. His name is Alfred! And I am his new World Vision child sponsor. I wish you could meet him! How can I really make a difference in Alfred’s life? Secondl...

Travis & Mindy: Bangkok, Thailand
http://travisandmindy.blogspot.com/2011/03/bangkok-thailand.html
Wednesday, March 2, 2011. Yes, this is a real chimpanzee! The chimpanzees opened their act by flying in on ziplines, rocking out as a chimpanzee rock band, then doing a boxing match between themselves. so wouldn't happen in the U.S! Drinking a Pepsi from a plastic bag bc the street vendors don't let you keep the bottles. Posted by Mindy Mizell. Wednesday, March 02, 2011. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Travis & Mindy: Tanzania Day 2- "Microloans & Fish" (Tanzania)
http://travisandmindy.blogspot.com/2010/12/tanzania-day-2.html
Wednesday, December 8, 2010. Tanzania Day 2- "Microloans and Fish" (Tanzania). Today's journey to Manyire, Tanzania to visit the Shirima family has me questioning what makes a GOOD Christmas gift? Is it a new IPad, snazzy new shoes, or a gift certificate to your favorite store? Or Is it how much money someone spends or how excited the recipient is when they open the wrapping paper on Christmas morning? You'd probably look at me like I was crazy! Getting money .but then having to pay it back?

Travis & Mindy: Africa Day 9- "Orphans and Vulnerable Children" (Ghana)
http://travisandmindy.blogspot.com/2010/12/africa-day-9.html
Friday, December 24, 2010. Africa Day 9- "Orphans and Vulnerable Children" (Ghana). I knew today was going to be tough on me. I’d braced myself since the beginning of our trip to Africa for what would likely be the most emotionally trying day. Today’s feature item in our Christmas Gift catalog was what World Vision calls OVC’s…orphans and vulnerable children. We were going to a small village in Ghana to meet four children who had lost both their parents. Until this trip, I’ll admit…I didnR...Today, I ...

Friday, December 24, 2010. Africa Day 5- The Power of Prayer. Being in Africa for December, it’s sometimes difficult to remember that Christmas is just a few weeks away! We’ve been wearing short sleeved shirts, swatting away mosquitoes and enjoying warm, sunny days. Yet, as we hit our halfway point on our True Spirit of Christmas tour, what happened this final day in Tanzania was a stark reminder that December 25th is nearer than I think. Yet I wasn’t prepared for what happened this afternoon. For Helen,...
