Knitting By the Sea: Fall's Coming
http://knittingfellows.blogspot.com/2009/09/falls-coming.html
Knitting By the Sea. Sunday, September 20, 2009. From April to October, my job becomes my life. Many weekends I work part of one if not both days on top of the usual office time Monday through Friday. Don't get me wrong, I love what I do. I only say this as explanation of the absence of posts during the summer months. As the sailing season winds down, I begin to reclaim my personal time. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Knitting By the Sea: Pumpkin Time
http://knittingfellows.blogspot.com/2009/10/pumpkin-time.html
Knitting By the Sea. Tuesday, October 13, 2009. A quick knit for a boy named Ben. Seems funny to say that, knowing that "my" Ben is 26 and this Ben is just 15 months. A Fiber Trends pattern that was surprisingly easy and knit in just an afternoon, and that's from a slow knitter! October 25, 2009 at 10:22 AM. You do lovely work madame! Knitting By the Sea: Blueberry Anyone?
http://knittingfellows.blogspot.com/2009/10/blueberry-anyone.html
Knitting By the Sea. Saturday, October 10, 2009. What I had hoped for but I can live with it. Hopefully so can the little guy that's going to be wearing it. January 15, 2010 at 2:49 PM. I love the leaves on this pattern. Did you design them or did you get/purchase the pattern? If you could let me know I would appreciate it. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Knitting By the Sea: Waste Not, Want Not
http://knittingfellows.blogspot.com/2009/04/waste-not-want-not.html
Knitting By the Sea. Tuesday, April 21, 2009. Waste Not, Want Not. Tonight as I was perusing the new yarn catalog that had arrived today, Gram came in and said, "When you're tired of working on your sweater, perhaps you'd work on this for me.". I remembered seeing a skein- that's right folks, a skein, not a wimpy little spool- of 100% nylon yarn in amongst my stash. Well not really in. That nylon yarn was perfect. It even matched the sweater color. I finished closing the seam, lasooing every one of those...

Knitting By the Sea: January 2009
http://knittingfellows.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Knitting By the Sea. Monday, January 19, 2009. Where do I begin. This is here and this is now. From Here and Now. By Great Big Sea. And that seems to be as good a place to start as any. Saturday was a wonderful day - one when I got to wander around a book store for as long as I wanted AND check out a new yarn shop. I knew as soon as I walked through the shop door that it would go into my book as a favorite. Purl Diva. New Hampshire has just one, too- Spinning Yarns in Dover. I'd highly recommend chec...

Knitting By the Sea. Wednesday, May 6, 2009. I just finished my first practice sock using Cat Bordhi's New Pathways for. 160;Am I the only one that had trouble following the schematics of needle positions? I had gone back to review the first few pages of the book before tackling the second practice sock, "Little Coriolis". 160;WHY NOT SHOW IT ON THE LEFT SINCE THAT'S WHAT I'M GOING TO SEE AS I'M KNITTING! 160; Yes, she says in the last paragraph, ".the needles as they would look if you laid the...Okay, ...

Knitting By the Sea: February 2009
http://knittingfellows.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Knitting By the Sea. Sunday, February 22, 2009. I imagine most every knitter dreams of having straights, doublepoints and circulars in all the sizes and lengths. I do. When I was in college, my parents gave me the next best thing: one of those sets of needle tips and various lengths of cables. Knitting with them was not fun. The tips would come loose and the stitches would drop into the cravasse between the two. Monday, February 16, 2009. And the winner is. The fisherlad guernsey. Here's the back don...

Thursday, September 15, 2011. I've been listening to Embracing Accusation by Shane&Shane today, and I've fallen quite in love with it, because of this fact. I was honestly very confused when I first started listening to it. Seriously, what it was saying is NOT what I wanted to be thinking. It starts out like this:. The father of lies,. Coming to steal,. Kill, and destroy. All my hopes of being good enough. I hear him saying, "Cursed are the ones. Alleluia, he's right! The devil is preaching. If the penal...

January 30, 2011. What we are up to. It has been FOREVER since I have updated this thing. I just thought I would fill you all in on what has been going on in our lives lately. :). John is still working for TCH and really learning a lot. He is enjoying his new role as a system administrator. Don't even ask me what that is). And is looking forward to when some new project he calls 'Oracle' is finished. Again, don't ask me what any of that means. I just know he thinks and talks about it all of the time.

Knot Just Knitting | Knitting In The Real World
Knitting In The Real World. Oh To Be in Germany When Wolle Fumes Are In The Air. December 11, 2013. My sister is taunting me with the whole ‘walking past a German yarn store’ thing. (She’s in Frankfurt). On the upside, she is picking me up a care package of cheap Opal (probably not cheap once we do the whole international shipping thing, but maybe I’ll tell her to wait until next time we rendezvous on the same side of the Atlantic. What a nice sister. Unripened Hanami, Nearly Ripe. May 28, 2009. As with ...

The Hard Way | An un-married alien…
An un-married alien…. January 27, 2017. Looking back, I think the experience in Crete was generally positive. Sure, there were difficulties along the way, but never anything so drastic that it couldn’t be dealt with. But the people of the island never seemed downtrodden or defeated. In fact, these were some of the friendliest people I encountered. The first day, driving through some village in the middle of nowhere, a lady out walking along the road enthusiastically smiled and waved at someone sh...And s...
