Joshua's Travel Blog. What have you been up to? War Zones, Why visit one? Unfortunately, not all travelling is fun and games. Some people are obligated to visit and remain in war zones due to many reasons, such as aid-work or military deployment. The first thing that comes to mind when travelling to a war zone would be Why F* * I am doing this? Although most people will never be put in a sort of situation like this, it is interesting to try and understanding the mentality behind committing such an act.

Personally, I find that I am more of a tourist than a traveler, because I usually do not put any great effort into connecting with another culture.
