JL Self and Winona Faye Brown were married on August 1, 1946. In 2006 they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a reception. The weekend was filled with family, friends and visiting. In 2014 they celebrated their last anniversary, 68 years. Faye passed away May 17, 2015 and J.L. passed away December 20, 2015. JL and Faye were both born and raised in Briscoe County, Texas. They are both graduates of Silverton High School as well as all three of their children and some of their grandchildren.
