He beamed in church Sunday when from the pulpit they welcomed our family who had arrived as a suprise birthday gift for our father. He grinned as he played with his nine grandchildren. He stood proudly as he watched his boys simply move the dryer vent for mom from the garage to the front of the house. Dad, we love you and look forward to many, many more smiles.

Saturday, February 20, 2010. The Privilege of Friends. I don't know how many times I have whinned and complained about having a messy house or having to clean up after the boys. At least my boys can entertain themselves. When you are an only child in a single parent home, who do you play with? Mom or dad, whichever the case may be. When they told me that they keep their homes clean by staying up until after 11:00pm to "straighten up" I was humbled immediately. Thank you for teaching me. Links to this post.
