Wednesday, May 6, 2009. Second, I got in touch with Gems Gems and they said to let us know what we want and they can see what they can give us. She reminded me that they are used books though so we couldn't use those at the hospitals. I registered us with the Firstbook. Org to see if we are eligible to get a grant to get free books. All we have to pay for is the shipping which is 35 cents. I haven't heard anything back from them yet but if I do I will let you know. I also contact Lee Bird and Cinco.

Thursday, April 23, 2009. The BEAR Project (Books Everyone Aspires to Read) is a new project for the 2009-2010 Junior League year. The original concept for the project came from a project in Houston. Where they have a phone line for children to listen to a story. The Houston. Project has booths set-up in Child Protective Services where children can select a physical. Book from the booth and listen to the story read over the telephone. The project review committee. Felt that for the first year of the JLEP.
