I'm here on our Burkina-wide bike tour, writing this from Yako (a town northwest of Ouaga). So far the trip has been great, and we've gone almost 600km so far! This past Tuesday was Tabaski, also known as Aid el Kebir, or the celebration of the Muslim new year! Since one of the most important parts of the holiday is sacrificing goats, some even call it "la fete des moutons," but again, don't worry, no goats died by my hands.
