Let me preface this entry by saying that I greatly respect Tyler Perry and his work is some of my favorite of all. I thought the movie was very entertaining, but I also thought the movie portrayed a very pessimistic view of marriage and reinforced several negative stereotypes of black people. Furthermore why would we need to be shown such a reinforcement of many negative black racial stereotypes?
