The Dark Knight was a MASTERPIECE. Not only is it the greatest superhero movie, it is also one of the greatest crime movies ever made, and even sets the standard for superhero movies to an all-new level (that's an extremely remarkable feat, considering the bar was already set high by 2002's Spider-Man). So what's the story about?
