jo's blog for 2010: May 2010
http://josblogfor2010.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 28, 2010. The white spiderwort in my garden didn't flower well last year,. But this year they are crowded! The first shot with the 70-200mm lens was kind of blurry, but I like the look. For the second shot I switched to a 60mm S lens and a tripod. It's a bright sunny day and with the sunshine hitting the white blossoms they came out washed out - overexposed - so I stood between the sun and the plant to make some shade. Thursday, May 27, 2010. CS5 sounds so cool with the new features but I think Id need a new computer to take advantage of them. October 22, 2010 at 10:35 PM. Oops, meant to say I love the header image too. jo's blog for 2010: Sunset
http://josblogfor2010.blogspot.com/2010/10/sunset.html
Sunday, October 31, 2010. As I got on the highway to go home from my daughter's house I saw the most breathtaking sunset - but there wasn't a safe place to stop and get a good view for a photograph. Halfway to home the tops of the autumn-colored trees were lit and the trees below were already dark - another awesome sight that I couldn't just stop to shoot. November 1, 2010 at 10:34 AM. What a great job in capturing these beautiful colors! November 19, 2010 at 8:18 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Saturday, August 21, 2010. Summer's almost over, but there's still some hot weather to enjoy playing with the neighbor kids in the back yard with their rocket hose. And look what you can do when you put your finger on the nozzle! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). My 365 in 2009 blog. My 365 in 2011 blog. My sadly neglected website. jo's blog for 2010: March 2010
http://josblogfor2010.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 9, 2010. The herons' nests are stacked in the trees at the rookery. This shot is out-of-camera - no extender. And here's one nestmate bringing twigs to fortify the nest. The pair on the lower level are watching. I bought a new L lens (70-200 f2.8) and paired it for some of the shots with a Kenko 1.5x extender. I think I'm having a nervous breakdown spending that much money on a lens! Friday, March 5, 2010. The cat is a little grouchy because I'm ignoring his "hints" that I should pet him.

The photo above has a warmed skin tone and the baby is highlighted. Someone had commented that the baby just blended in. Saturday, June 5, 2010. Singing in the rain. jo's blog for 2010: April 2010
http://josblogfor2010.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 27, 2010. I was hoping to get a clearer shot of some apple blossoms, but I'm battling pneumonia and I haven't been outside much lately. I went out yesterday after the storm blew through and found that the wind and rain took most of the petals down. So here's the best of the lot from the last time I tried shooting apple blossoms - the buds were just beginning to open then. Tuesday, April 6, 2010. I'm trying to decide which lens to take for a walk at the daffodil trail - these are in my yard.

Well, I had this notion that Gregory the pirate ought to be seen on a pirate ship, and it took me more than a week to locate the photograph I wanted to use. Actually, the ship is the Constellation in Baltimore's harbor - a photo from 5 years ago that had been downloaded to a disc and it took some searching to find it. Friday, November 5, 2010. Photoshop is a wonder!
