The Johnson Family: January 2009
http://bljohnsonfamily.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Living in the corn fields of IOWA. Monday, January 26, 2009. Really what else is there to do in the dead of winter? At least the sun was nice and bright. Jake even got in on the fun. We have been to several playdates lately. I can only stay at home for a minimal amount of time before craving social interaction. Unforunately (for me), Ryan is becoming a homebody like his father. I have to sweet talk him into the Tahoe but once we get out he enjoys himself. Driving the train at Recess in Ankeny. We celebra...

If children live with criticism, they learn to condemn. If children live with hostility, they learn to fight. If children live with ridicule, they learn to be shy. If children live with shame, they learn to feel guilty. If children live with encouragement, they learn confidence. If children live with praise, they learn to appreciate.

Stepping Stones: Foster care
http://carolinecapper.blogspot.com/2011/12/foster-care.html
This is a short piece of what I've done with my life, including a year spent teaching English in China, short trips around the states and my hard knock-life back in the bad US economy. I've been excepted into the foster care program at the Tallahassee Animal Shelter. It will also be long as I'll be working everyday till I leave. Ho-hum. Mom, Max really enjoys the gift you gave us. He hangs out in there so the other cats 'forget' about him and he LOVES the newspaper. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

This is a short piece of what I've done with my life, including a year spent teaching English in China, short trips around the states and my hard knock-life back in the bad US economy. How many times in my life have I been able to run around buying Christmas presents in only jeans and a short sleeve t-shirt with the windows rolled all the way down! However I might need some help with clothes since my carry-on is going to be filled with gifts and not toiletries for visits. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

This is a short piece of what I've done with my life, including a year spent teaching English in China, short trips around the states and my hard knock-life back in the bad US economy. I finally went on my only camping trip of the year to lake Rathbun. It had great camp sites and a nice big lake! However you'd need a big boat on windy days, not sure our little ski boat would have done well, but I was lucky enough to have a friend that owned a nice cobalt. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). This is a short piece of what I've done with my life, including a year spent teaching English in China, short trips around the states and my hard knock-life back in the bad US economy. Here are some random things that happened towards the end of my time in China. We knew some of the right people and they took us to a lake for a boat ride. Kim had her birthday for Kim's b-day we got our nails painted. Well after some of my recovery I went with. Then we get back inside a few moments later and we are the ne...
