Sábado, 8 de agosto de 2009. El PALTO (Persea americana Mill.). Conocido también como aguacate en otros países americanos, es originario de nuestro continente, sin embargo su cultivo comercial es relativamente reciente. Los cultivares de palta más importantes son Hass, Fuerte, Negra de La Cruz (o Prada), Bacon, Edranol y Zutano. Origen: Méjico, y luego se difundió hasta las Antillas. Planta: árbol extremadamente vigoroso (tronco potente con ramificaciones vigorosas), pudiendo alcanzar hasta 30 m de altura.

Saturday, November 24, 2012. We had my family over for Thanksgiving this year. We fried a turkey, ate lots of food, and played some games. I am trying to upload pictures from my dad, but Google has just informed me that I am out of space for images. (They only allow you to upload 1 gb total for pictures on the blog? So, unless I go back and delete lots of posts from years past, it looks like the blog may be over. More to come when I figure out what to do with it. In the meantime, Happy Thanksgiving!
